Marilyn Monroe always stayed at Hotel San Carlos when in town to film a movie.

 

She loved to swim at whatever hour she felt like and did not want to be bothered by other guests or the media.

 

A San Carlos Bellman was one of her biggest fans, and she knew it. She visited with him and took him upstairs to the third floor.

 

There is a Star on the hotel San Carlos sidewalk in her honor.
